Welcome to our first blog of this year!
2020 was a year that none of us will forget. The impact it was to have on both our personal and professional lives flipped over and changed so much in so many ways.
As we enter 2021, we know that the challenges posed by Covid-19 have not gone away. In the context of the oil and gas industry, the sector is well used to the changing succession of price cycles, but it would be hard to imagine a more difficult year than the last one.
Despite last year’s difficulties across the industry, 2020 saw Ace Oil Tools focus our efforts on driving forward our new, innovative products, bringing them to market at a time when the sector needed them most. We constantly review market requirements and knew there was demand for a small, yet strong, stop collar.
This approach remains as we enter 2021 and we were pleased with the recent launch of the ARC-Force Product.
The ARC-Force is small in size but big on strength, with a holding force of 50,000lbs. It includes zero loose or moving parts and has no impact on drift. The product has off-the-shelf availability, meaning there are no long waiting times that could impact production costs.
We are delighted to introduce the ARC-Force to the market as it will offer something different from our current offering, ensuring those looking for a short, cheaper stop collar alternative have something to meet their needs. From our research, we knew this is what the market required, and we worked hard to introduce a product to provide a solution to meet the demands of the sector.
The ARC-Force joins our family of Ace Oil Tool’s ARC products. Uniquely designed, our ARC products mount downhole accessories directly to the outside of the casing or completion string. Take the ARC-slim for example. It delivers unrivalled holding force under all operating conditions and was the first 90,000lb+ rated stop collar on the market.
While the ARC-Slim is made for close tolerance applications, the ARC-Force is a cost-effective solution for non-close tolerance operations and is based on patented and field-proven technology. Our latest product video, which can be seen here really helps to show the differences – and similarities – between the two products.
Our approach really does mean there is an Ace tool for everyone, and for every job.
We know 2021 may yet provide the challenges faced last year, but at Ace Oil Tools, we remain committed to continuing our work with operators and companies to deliver cost-effective, unrivalled holding capabilities.
