With the temperature rising, longer evenings and the smell of sunscreen beginning to permeate the air, many of us will be looking forward to a well-earned summer break over July.
It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway through 2021, so we are taking the opportunity in this month’s blogs to look back on the developments we’ve made since the start of the year.
NEW PRODUCTS
We started 2021 with the launch of ARC-Force. Based on the well-known Ace Ratchet Collar Slim, the updated and patented 2-piece collar uses a proprietary ratchet mechanism, press-fitting the two sets of ratchets together to permanently lock the collar to the casing.
Although it is smaller in size than ARC-Slim, it’s big on strength, with a holding force of minimum 50,000 lbs.
Specifically designed to provide a more cost-effective solution for non-close tolerance operations, we believed its development and launch was at a time when the sector required it most. The positive interest and market response has proved this belief to be correct and not only has ARC-Force received client interest, it has also featured in several industry publications, including those below:
We are also excited to have recently unveiled the latest card in our deck – the ACLC. The ACLC has been designed to improve safety in offshore operations by enabling automation during the installation of control line clamps. Its innovative, revolutionary design ensures the ACLC semi-automates the control line process, reducing the need for workers in the red zone by 50%, and reduces the time spent in the red zone by 30%.
We’ll look more in focus on the ACLC in next month’s blog.
TEAM UPDATE
We were also pleased to announce a key organisational restructure which saw two well-known, central figures in the team take on new roles. This decision was part of a strategic move to drive our sales and expansion into new ventures.
Lasse Hetland, the former Ace CCO, and one of our founders, now operates as Vice President, New Ventures. Lasse identifies new applications and markets for our unique and adaptable technologies.
In addition, Joachim Åkesson, former sales manager, is now operating as Sales Director. Joachim’s focus will remain on our current markets and he is continuing to build long-lasting and successful relationships with our clients.
ESG FOCUS
As you will have read in our previous blog, accountability and innovation sit at the heart of our core values. As part of this, we were pleased to lay our cards on the table by evaluating what we have achieved and where we can do better regarding environmental responsibility.
One of our key announcements was that by enabling digital training and installation, we have reduced CO2 emissions by 49.8%, saving more than 80 tonnes of CO2 since 2018.
More of our findings can be read here and they account for just a few of our first steps in the journey towards a more environmentally conscious future.
All that’s left to say from us is that we hope you enjoy your summer break. You’ve deserved it.
Now, where did we put that sunscreen?
